South West Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) - Review of Additional Pitch requirements for Gypsies and Travellers in the South West
Examination in Public (EIP)
Timetable/Programme
For the final list of matters and participants see the Document Centre.
The process until the opening of the EiP on 4 March 2008 is as follows:
- Analysis of the representations made to produce a draft list of Matters and Participants for the EiP – publication expected early November; those invited by the Panel to participate will be notified directly. The draft list will be posted on this website. Paper copies of the draft list will be available from the Panel Secretary, at that time, upon request.
- Following publication of the draft list there will be a 28 day consultation period for any comments on it to be sent to the Panel Secretary.
- There will be a Preliminary Meeting starting at 2pm on Monday 26 November at The Thistle Hotel, Queen Street, Exeter, EX4 3SP. This meeting is to explain the procedures that will be followed at the EiP: it will not be dealing with any of the evidence that will be presented either orally or in writing to the Panel at the EiP. It is anticipated that those attending will, in the main, be those who have been invited by the Panel to participate at the EiP.
- After the end of the 28 day consultation period the Panel will publish the final List of Matters and Participants. Again, this list will be sent directly to those invited to participate, will be posted on this website and will be available from the Panel Secretary.
- The EiP will open at The Thistle Hotel, Queen Street, Exeter, EX4 3SP on Tuesday 4 March 2008, and is estimated the EiP may last 2 to 4 days. It is hoped that a draft timetable will be available at, or soon after, the Preliminary Meeting together with Notes for Guidance for Participants. Prospective participants should note that it is likely the Panel will be requiring statements for the various sessions to be submitted in early February 2008.
